In my mailbox: the leaning tower of unread books

Okay, my to be read pile is getting ridiculous (again):

Of course, these didn’t all arrive “in my mailbox”. Many are from the library, some I bought, some I borrowed from friends, some were gifts. I am a lucky, lucky girl, but man, I need to take a vacation and just read, read, read! But where should I start?! Any suggestions? See anything in that pile you think I should definitely give priority?

  1. Nice to see some Australian authors in there :)
I grew up on Isobel Carmody and I have Alyzon Whitestarr on my bookshelf. I haven’t read Tender Morsels, but I’ve heard it’s wonderful.
I just filled my two new bookshelves to bursting, and then went out and bought new books :P

    • I’ve been meaning to read Possession for ages, and now I’m lucky to have an ARC of Surrender, so I’d better get reading!

Heading over to check out your IMM post…. Thanks for stopping by! :)

    • I’ve heard it’s really amazing, despite being really difficult topic-wise. I put it off when it first came out, not sure I wanted to read it. But now, I think I will….

  2. That’s some pile all right! Does the sheer height of it ever overwhelm you? I want to start reading everything in mine, and end up not reading anything. I wonder if there’s such a thing as Reader’s Block.

  3. Oh! There are some good titles there — be sure to put Save the Cat to the top of your pile (especially if you’re writing or plan to be writing), it’s a great resource! P.S. Added your site to the Restless Writer’s blogroll today (and finally). Hope all is well, Shari!
