The other day I noticed a Bald Eagle perched on the uppermost branch of a spruce tree. Two crows were taunting him – swooping in, darting away, getting awfully close to those talons. They just kept dive-bombing the eagle over and over, and the eagle wasn’t fazed. He didn’t react at all. All that should-be-annoying behaviour didn’t have any visible effect.
And then there was this guy, down by the beach:
Doesn’t he look focussed? Total attention (and patience!) as he scans for potential lunch.
Oh to be so focussed. To be unfazed by dive-bombing distractions or disappointments. Imagine how much we could accomplish if we kept eagle-eyed attention on our goals!
What pesky crows do you need to ignore in order to achieve your goals? What distracts or discourages you? Or, more positively, how do you manage to stay focussed?
